Logistics Coordinator - Food Processing

About the role:
An opportunity exists for a Logistics professional, with supervisory experience and leadership skills to join our dedicated logistics team. Reporting to the General Manager, Further Processing, this role is responsible for the control of all inwards raw materials and outwards finished product. This role is also responsible for the management of the Promptu and finished product order systems and will be leading the logistics personnel inside the factory.
The nature of this role demands an enthusiastic, self-motivated, well organised, decisive person with a positive attitude, with the ability to work efficiently with the team to produce results.
The successful candidate will also demonstrate:
- Previous experience in high volume food production facilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge and practical application of food safety and quality requirements;
- Ability to problem solve and prioritise workload effectively and efficiently
- Commitment to building a team with service based culture
- Strong computer literacy.
- Strong people skills along with excellent organisational and communication skills;
- A practical knowledge of QA and HACCP methodologies;
- Strong work ethic, with the capability to multi task and prioritise;
- The ability to lead and mentor a results oriented team
